Great Campground !!!!!!

What a great campground, we stayed four days. Place was very quiet and clean. Staff were very polite and helpful. WiFi was amazing for a hidden campground.

Fabulous Spot With New Ownership 2022

Let's shout it from the rooftops this place is Amazing! Nestled in a fabulous forested valley in Newcastle. Far enough away from the bustle of the city and the sounds of traffic and highway. Yet close enough for all your adventurous wants and needs! The creek that runs thru the campground is a pure delight to dip and play in. Whether you select a riverside site or not the creek is accessible to all visitors! It's been a blessing to call this place home for the time we are allowed! Thank you Elk Creek Campground for all the amazing support and help you provided! Shane, Lisa, Steven, Mark, LOGAN, Terry and Tom, thank you for all the hard work and effort you put into this glorious place!

Awesome Getaway

We stumbled upon this campground and were so thankful!! We only intended on staying a night and drive thru town but wound up staying 4 nights!!!! Kids were so happy playing and relaxing family time!!! Thank you for hospitality!!!

Sardine Ville

We were anticipating an open campground away from the rail and highway noise but what we found was a sardine campground chock full of rv’s tents and little huts. No chance for satellite connection. Although the sign said open at 5 pm it was not - door locked. Put an X through this one on my iPad.

Elk Creek Campground

Stayed 3 nights in the tent area in June 2016. We stayed here 10 years ago. Love the campsites by the creek but the campground itself needs some work. Grass needed cutting. Couldn't hardly see some of the cabins because of the grass. Grass was tall in tent area. Trees need trimming so top of trucks/RVS don't get scratched. Bathrooms need a deep cleaning and shower curtains replaced. No telling how long showers have been disinfected and cleaned and mats washed. One of the toilet stall doors came off in the ladies. A little paint and deep cleaning in 5he bathrooms would help tremendously. The laundry room was also pretty dirty. Unfortunately would not recommend.

Beautiful area but the park has scene better days. Bathrooms and laundry room were filthy and in disrepair, the office was not open during the hours posted and phone calls were not answered or returned. The park is for sale so hopefully it will find a new owner who cares and will return it to its former glory.
