We enjoyed Our Stay
We stayed in site 37. We were worried about the condition of the campground after the ice storms in March 2025, but the park looked great. Thanks to the park staff for cleaning up what we couldn’t even notice. We were able to sneak in a ...

Nice
Very nice SP and campground. $25 weekdays and $35 weekends. Electric only, but there are several water fountains and spigots sprinkled around, and a dump station on the way out. We were in the Eastern loop, site 67. Most of those sites ...

Only A few Spots For RV, half Closed
Despite the info on the official website, only some spots available. Most for cars and tents, only a few long enough for RV. The more beautiful half and further away from the highway campground closed. Why? No water anyhow. Selfcontain would be fine. Still nice spot. A bit expensive for national forest.

The perfect little rv spot. Quiet with everything two love birds could want. Had burgers and fries at the dinky diner and was one of the best burgers we’ve ever had.

Great Location
We stayed for three nights, this campground is owned by the city of High Point. It’s convenient to anywhere in the Triad. We were in loop C so we were next to the interstate. You could hear traffic but I didn’t think it was so bad. Nice and ...

New Quite Campground
The campground is about a mile outside of Whitehouse, Tx. Also, about a mile away from Lake Tyler. The campground is still in its first year of operation. There are 11 large concrete sites with covers and storage buildings on 7 of them. Ful ...
