Stayed only 2 nights, elev 6370, over 30 nice sites to choose from. A little buggy but not terrible. Great birding - saw lazuli bunting, warbling vireos, Mtn & Western bluebirds. Plus a few warblers, sparrows, siskins, and hummers. Not sure about hiking trails but there were some 4 wheeler trails.
Little or no cell service

Wonderful Off The Beaten Path Campsite
This campsite is about 7 mi up a dirt and Dusty road in the winter time after a rain it's muddy as can be but well worth the trip.
large motorhomes should not go to this campsite turning around could be a problem.
We are 55 ft in length truck and trailer and had no problems at all.
The three campsites that we were parked next to were flat and level needed no blocks or anything and we did not have to disconnect. Looks like a large area for hunting as well lots of locals at this campsite. No cell or Internet service for AT&t or Verizon but once you leave camp there is one spot that you can get service for a split second.
