Only Show In Town For Galena Visit

3 stars based on our recent stay. Why only 3, we were in a 34’ motorhome and not much room to park the “toad”, others in larger rigs(i.e. 5th wheelers with their large trucks had it worse than us). Sites are fairly close together so if no neighbor not so bad but ….. Other hit the main office bathrooms and laundry room are in significant need of replacement. Campground is about a mile from the downtown area so an easy drive to get there. Putt-putt is on-site and Culver’s on next to the park as well. Golf course about 1/2 mile away(nice course BTW).

Campground is overpacked. The spot we had reserved for the weekend suddenly got changed when we got here. We were moved to an overcrowded section. Vehicles parked in open camping spots so we couldn’t even use them to get us out of the section when we wanted to leave in the morning. Vehicles parked in the road and it’s so narrow you can’t move your RV through it.

Camper

We drive a 22-ft class B Coachman Beyond which requires no hookups. We opted to stay in the tenting area. There was nobody else camping nearby. We had a flat, shady, grassy site with a picnic table and fire pit. Perfect!

Clean. Friendly. Easy hook up. Only complaint is there was ample space to park in the grassy areas yet they put us in a muddy site with no grass. Close to town of Galena.

Seems to fill up on the weekends for full hook ups. Call ahead. During the week we were able to pop in for a couple nights with full hook ups. The sites are small though. (25 ft trailer) Had to park truck perpendicular. Did not use the facilities. It was ok place.

Family Trip

Grounds are clean, but the pool, arcade, and putt putt golf were older and in need of updating. Would be nice if it wasn't so close to the highway. Overall a good experience thou.

Great campground and awesome location! This place is very clean, great swimming area and the amenities are unlimited. My family and I have gone tent camping the last few years at this campground. We just bought a new 2017, 37 footer travel trailer are excited and can't wait to go back this year!
