Big Plus For a Michigan State Park
Another very nice State Park. We stayed in a FHU almost level site. The only drawback was it was full sun in the evening. If you're staying many days, be aware that the dumpster is a very long walk away. Firewood is sold at the entrance only, $6 per bundle, or 3 for $15. Water pressure was OK, power went out one evening for several hours. It's a campground I will go to again.

Nice State Park
Some sites have full hookups, some electric only. Register as early as you can if you want the full hookups. We stayed for the 4th of July and it was quiet and uneventful. Perimeter sites (electric only) are spaced well and separated by woods. Huge plus is the well kept restrooms and outstanding "private" shower rooms. Great design. Visit the Grayling Fish Hatchery for some family fun.

Always Stop
My favorite stop between Detroit and the UP. All paved sites, wide, and private. Well maintained. Very reasonable rates. You get more here than many state parks. I highly recommend it.

Great Park!!!
Beautiful campground with paved sites and lots of trails. Definitely worth a visit! The sites are private with lots of trees between sites, clean bathrooms, and bike and walking trails.

Excellent
Hartwick has improved modern campsites from electric only typical of Michigan State Parks and has added water / sewer hookups at each site. Sites are paved and nicely landscaped, generously sized. Overall an excellent job by the Michigan DNR! Sites are 30amp max,
